I’d rear wheel drive my 2005 ford streetka roadster convertible , it’s basically a big go cart and lots of fun but would be a lot more with out the crap front wheel drive 👍

Beautiful project, I'm working on one like this for my 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint. Do you know where to get the front grill, rearview mirror and other spare parts? 2:54

Very cool, thanks for sharing, are you still driving it? Reminded me of back in my college days of a three year old 1980 VW Sirocco I bought with an over heated engine for about $2000, I swapped the engine out for rabbit Turbo Diesel engine and added a 20psi turbo and fuel rack booster adapted from a Benz turbo diesel that was making about 100hp and bolted in a 5-spd trans axle. It was comfortable, fast for the day, fun to drive and would do up to 60mpg. No computers and super reliable. In 250k miles it never stranded even though being boosted boosted to two atmospheres. That's the sort of vehicle I want for my next daily driver,

My first car was a 64 Futura, convertible with a straight six four speed, I did a bunch stupid teenager mistakes and my Dad took it from me and sold it for $1500 in 1992 25 years later I saw it on Craigslist for $11,000

Very nice clean car, congratulations. I am on my third one 1975 1.8L. Because they are 50 years old, you can't always choose whats available. I agree the 2.0 is the best, but that should not stop anyone. I have had 2-1973's and and a 1975. I like the newer one better.

I've always been pretty much a Chevy/Ford guy and have owned several classics in my 78 years but I am really starting to love the Mopar vehicles, especially the Plymouths in particular Way back when I was in the Navy I did own a nice little 50 Plymouth coupe that was actually given to my wife and I when we lived off base by an elderly neighbor man who probably had pity on us. Buck was his name. He said I'm not just going to give it to you, so you owe me ten dollars just to make the deal square. So I slipped him a ten spot. Never forget that day in 1965 Vallejo, California Mare Island Naval Base. Wish I had that little coupe today.

87 isuzu pup, very spartan. Just does what it does. It is the simplest vehicle in my fleet and with all the stupid I fix on new trucks I now look for old Japanese pickups. I am surrounded by late model trucks all day and look forward to simplicity and function. I do not desire screens and tech.

If you want AWD with RWD then you have to buy an AWD assembly and you have to modify the center differential or you have to by a center differential that has the drivetrain selection button(s) or knobs, its not easy to especially if you’re a DIY person. I have never done any this, it’s what I call common sense and that’s what I’ve been told.

I bought 2 of these recently, both 1996 cars. One was in good condition the other is not, but I'll keep them maintained. Amazing value for what they are. All the good bits of a 911 but with the engine in a better location, and a quarter of the price.
